A pastor in Jamaica had a a foot washing ceremony where he washed the feet of practicing lesbians and transgenders. Is this Biblically sound? The Supreme Court has declined to reverse a decsion by a judge ruling Florida's same sex marriage ban unconstitutional, opening the door for same sex marriages to begin there in January. Also Eric Holder has added protection for transgenders in the federal books making it illegal to discriminate against them. Are so called "gay" rights also civil rights? More and more schools are trying to indocrinate our children to accept the false religion of Islam. Join us as we discuss Bible solutions to the world's many troubles.

Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones Dies at the Age of 62 Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones died last Friday at the age of 62 in Kingston Jamaica. Her soul influenced reggae ballads propelled her to popularity in the seventies along with Judy Mowatt and Pam Hall. Jones was born Barbara Nation in Kingston but grew up in Manchester, a rural parish located in central Jamaica. She began her musical career cutting a cover of American country singer Sue Thompson’s Sad Movies with the Soul Syndicate Band for Randy’s Records. Most of her popular songs included, Evie Sands’ Angel in The Morning and Walk through This World with Me, originally done by Englebert Humperdinck and Dream Lover. Jones toured with Jimmy Cliff as a backup singer, before giving up secular music in the early 1980s. She became a Christian and eventually recorded four gospel albums. In May, Jones returned to her reggae roots by doing two shows in Brazil along with bassist/singer Lloyd Parks. They did shows in the cities of Teresina and Belem. Jones was shocked she had fans in Brazil, a vibrant market for so-called vintage reggae. “I didn’t know my songs were so popular there. People always told me, I should go to Brazil as they love me there,” she told the Jamaica Observer during an interview after her return. Barbara Jones is survived by her husband, three children and three grandchildren. The thanksgiving service for her life is scheduled for the Gregory Park Baptist Church on January 10. Talai, (pronounced TA-lye) a native of Jamaica and St. Croix, currently resides in Atlanta GA, and is in love… with  LOVE. Having found her deepest inspiration…love, she states: “I love who I am in God’s love, I love how love changes the dynamics as it enters the atmosphere, how it defines us, people inspire me: as they try to do everything but love...I'm all at once awed, empathetic, and humbled.“ In her latest CD, entitled: Time and Love and I… Talai continues to draw in the Romanticized crowd, aka  “Talaians,” who long for verbal expression of their deepest emotional thoughts. When asked to express her music she responds:“My music is the soundtrack of my life… I write for me, but sometimes from me; I put myself in scenarios mentally, and use the vehicle of words/music to first authenticate and then empower. Music is words' natural companion because in its absence, words sometimes prove to be inept. My music is timeless; at home in the soul, the creative process continues...the listener partners with me, draws their own conclusions, rewrites the script, or submit to its truth.“Relax and allow the smooth sounds of Talai to speak to your soul while fueling your amazing journey… in love, through time… Professional Women Entrepreneurs is a collaboration of liked minded women, breaking barriers and setting new heights. Our goal is to empower the renaissance woman who has a purpose, vision and plan. These six legal copyrights (in no particular order) are: Reproduction Derivatives Public Display Public Performance Distribution Digital Transmission - Note that there are typically two copyrights that must be addressed when a work is sampled (and thus two copyright holders from whom you must get permission in order to avoid infringing): 1. The copyright to the song itself – the © 2. The copyright to the version of the song (i.e. the master) – the ? - There are three dominant ones in the United States: ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.
